Can you share a time when you encountered a cultural barrier that initially hindered the customer experience, and how did you successfully overcome it to create a positive outcome for the client?
One time I encountered a cultural barrier when working with a client from Japan who preferred more formal communication, while I tend to be more casual. This initially hindered the customer experience as our communication styles clashed. To overcome this, I made an effort to adjust my communication style to be more formal and respectful, which helped build trust and rapport with the client. By adapting to their cultural expectations, I was able to create a positive outcome for the client and strengthen our working relationship.
